An early snow covers the mountains around Lake Sabrina leaving a few patches of fall color to stand out amongst the snow.

The sun has already set on the lakes of Pioneer Basin, but the view across Mono Creek shows Third and Fourth Recess aglow in the setting sun.

We camped close to the outlet of Fourth Recess Lake and had this beautiful view when we awoke in the morning. We had the whole recess to ourselves.

After the rain stopped we climbed up the ridge separating Trail Lakes from the Forth Recess. The view form here was amazing down Mono Creek, into the Recesses and over to Pioneer Basin.

Rain can occur at any time in the Sierra. Here I waited through the rain at Upper Pioneer Basin Lake and found myself with a beautiful sunset as the storm clouds began to clear.

This is a wide shot taken from Bryce point, framed by the cliff tops I was standing on. A storm was blowing through the park and it made for some nice light on the formations.

Zebra canyon was quite a fun adventure. I would love to visit it again sometime at a more photogenic time of day.
